Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Ford RV Cutaway, 2004 Ford Econoline, 2004 Ford E450 Super Duty, and 2004 Ford Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The fuel tank temperature sensor:
- Changes resistance in response to the temperature of the fuel in the fuel tank; as the surrounding temperature increases, the resistance decreases (the voltage signal also decreases).
- Provides a signal to the NGV module that indicates the temperature of the fuel.
- Is mounted in the rear fuel tank solenoid valve.
