Control Arm: Installation

NOTE: Replace control arm and bushings as an assembly.

To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure threads on control arm bolts face down. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check and adjust front end alignment as necessary. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.



  1. Position control arm into subframe, and install mounting bolts. Ensure threads on bolts face down. Install Powertrain Alignment Gauge (T94P-6000-AH) in place of front engine mount. See Fig 1. Install right and rear engine mounts. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
  2. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check and adjust front end alignment as necessary. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.

NOTE: Control arm bushings must be replaced with control arm as an assembly.
