Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and 2004 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Switched battery voltage is normally provided to the digital transmission (TR) sensor through circuit 1087 (OG). When the transmission is placed into reverse, the digital TR sensor transfers power to circuit 140 (BK/PK) which provides power to the reversing lamps. Ground is provided to each lamp individually through circuit 1205 (BK).
