Pinpoint Test AI: The Daytime Running Lamps Are On With The Ignition Switch Off

- AI1 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH INPUT TO THE DRL MODULE FOR VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: DRL Module C1030.
- Measure the voltage between the DRL module C1030-3, circuit 932 (GY/WH), harness side and ground.
- Is any voltage indicated?
Yes
GO to AI2.
No
INSTALL a new DRL module. REFER to DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP (DRL) MODULE . TEST the system for normal operation.
- AI2 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Carry out the ignition switch component test.
Refer to COMPONENT TESTING for schematic and connector information.
- Is the ignition switch OK?
Yes
REPAIR circuit 932 (GY/WH) for short to battery. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new ignition switch. Refer to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES . TEST the system for normal operation.
- Carry out the ignition switch component test.
