Removal and Installation

Drain the cooling system until the degas bottle is empty. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube and the engine air cleaner. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR, FUEL CHARGING, STARTING AND ENGINE ELECTRONICS - 4.0L SOHC .
Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Tighten the degas bottle cap until it clicks twice.

Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
