Items 1-4: Valve Spring Retainer Keys, Valve Spring Retainer, Valve Springs, and Valve Stem Seals Removal Note

NOTE:
Carry out the following steps for each cylinder requiring service.
- Use compressed air in the cylinder to hold both valves in position.
- Using the special tools, compress the valve spring.
- Remove the valve spring retainer keys, the valve spring retainers, the valve spring and if necessary the valve stem seal.
NOTE:
Position the piston of the cylinder to be serviced at the bottom of the stroke.
NOTE:
The three rear-most followers on the RH side must use special tool 303-567 in the same manner as is shown in the illustration.
