Rear Safety Belt - Bucket Seat, Second Row: Notes

WARNING: All safety belt assemblies including retractors, buckles, front seat belt buckle support assemblies (slide bar), shoulder belt height adjusters (if so equipped) child safety seat tether attachments and attaching hardware should be inspected after any collision. All belt assemblies should be installed new unless a qualified technician finds the assemblies show no damage and operate properly. Belt assemblies not in use during a collision should also be inspected and installed new if either damage or improper operation is noted.
NOTE: Right side shown, left side similar, but vehicle may be equipped with an auxiliary climate control unit.
NOTE: Rear seats and trim panels removed for clarity.
  1. To access the second row outboard safety belt retractor or shoulder height adjuster, remove the quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM PANELS .
  2. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustrations and tables.
    REAR SAFETY BELT - BUCKET SEAT, SECOND ROW PART REMOVAL STEPS

    Part Steps
    Second row safety belt and retractor 1-5
    Shoulder height adjuster 2, 3, 6, 7, 8
    Safety belt buckle 9-11

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
