Pinpoint Test Al: Left Or Right Power Vent Window Is Inoperative

- AL1 IDENTIFY THE INOPERATIVE QUARTER WINDOW
- Operate the quarter windows from the quarter window switch.
- Does the left quarter window operate?
Yes
GO to AL2
No
GO to AL4.
- AL2 CHECK CIRCUIT 882 (BN/YE) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: RH Quarter Window Motor C4090.
- Measure the resistance between the RH quarter window motor C4090-2, circuit 882 (BN/YE), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AL3
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- AL3 CHECK CIRCUIT 881 (BN) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the RH quarter window motor C4090-1, circuit 881 (BN), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new RH quarter window motor. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- AL4 CHECK CIRCUIT 882 (BN/YE) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: LH Quarter Window Motor C4048.
- Measure the resistance between the LH quarter window motor C4048-1, circuit 882 (BN/YE), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AL5
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- AL5 CHECK CIRCUIT 881 (BN) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the LH quarter window motor C4048-2, circuit 881 (BN), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new RH quarter window motor. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
