Power Sliding Door (PSD) Detent Switch

The PSD detent switch identifies the rear power sliding door latch position by sending a momentary ground signal to the PSD. The PSD detent switch circuit is connected through the sliding door contacts. The PSD can only read PSD detent switch status with the sliding door contacts touching. The PSD detent switch input to the PSD is:
- an open circuit with the power sliding door closed.
- momentarily grounded when rear power sliding door latch releases.
- an open circuit when the power sliding door is opening or closing and the sliding door contacts are not touching.
- is grounded just prior to secondary latch position (power sliding door is partially latched), then is open when secondary latch position is reached.
- is grounded just prior to primary latch position (power sliding door is fully latched), then is open when primary latch position is reached.
- an open circuit as power sliding door is pulled to complete close and latch.
