Pinpoint Test AS: The Headlamp On Reminder Chime Is Inoperative

AS1 CHECK THE HEADLAMPS FOR CORRECT OPERATION
- Insert the key in the ignition.
- Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position.
- Do the parking lamps and headlamps illuminate?
Yes

GO to AS2.

No

Refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the parking lamps.
AS2 CHECK FOR DRIVER DOOR AJAR INPUT TO THE SJB
- Be sure the interior lamps switch is in the door position.
- Open the driver door.
- Do the interior lamps illuminate?
Yes

GO to AS3.

No

Refer to INTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the interior lamps.
AS3 CHECK FOR KEY-IN-IGNITION SIGNAL
- Be sure the driver door is open and the headlamps are on.
- Remove the key from the ignition.
- Does the headlamps on reminder warning chime operate correctly?
Yes

System is operating normally at this time.

No

Go To PINPOINT TEST AR: THE KEY-IN-IGNITION CHIME IS INOPERATIVE .
