Removal (3.0L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
Disconnect compressor manifold and tube assembly spring lock coupling from accumulator-drier. See Figure. Discard "O" rings. Disconnect compressor manifold and tube assembly from condenser discharge line and remove compressor manifold and tube assembly. See Figure. Discard "O" ring seal. Disconnect pressure cutoff switch connector. See Fig 1.
Depressurize fuel system. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under SERVICING. Disconnect fuel line spring lock coupling. See Fig 2. Remove nut and position bracket aside. See Fig 3. Loosen bolt and remove compressor manifold and tube assembly. See Figure. Discard "O" ring seal.
