Removal (2.3L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Disconnect A/C clutch coil connector. See Figure. Remove manifold and tube assembly bolt. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect and position aside manifold and tube assembly. Discard "O" rings. Plug manifold openings. Disconnect compressor manifold and tube assembly spring lock coupling from accumulator-drier. See Figure.
  3. Disconnect compressor manifold and tube assembly from condenser discharge line and remove compressor manifold and tube assembly. See Figure. Discard "O" ring seal.
