PROBLEM SYMPTOM - LOW TIRE WARNING (LTW) SYSTEM

Condition	Possible Sources	Action
LTW lamp is ON - tire pressure is within specification	System has not been reset after tire pressures have been adjusted.	RESET system. ADVISE customer of the reset requirements.
	Uneven tire wear. Tire size incorrect or mismatched tires.	CHECK and REPAIR as necessary.
	Incorrect wheel alignment.	ALIGN to specification.
ABS and LTW warning lamps both illuminated	Loss of SCP communication link. ABS module.	SERVICE ABS system first. REFER to ANTI-LOCK CONTROL .
LTW lamp does not flash 3 times when the reset switch is held for more than 3 seconds	LTW reset switch. Circuitry.	REPAIR as necessary. REFER to INFORMATION, GAUGES & WARNING DEVICES .
Low tire pressure not detected by the system	Rapid loss of pressure.	The LTW cannot detect a rapid loss of pressure.
	Pressure loss in more than one tire.	The LTW may not detect the loss of pressure in more than one tire.
	Warning indicator bulb burned out.	REPAIR as necessary. REFER to INFORMATION, GAUGES & WARNING DEVICES .
