Pinpoint Test C: Single Power Window Is Inoperative - Passenger Power Window

  1. C1 CHECK THE OPERATION FROM THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Operate the passenger window from the driver window control switch
    • Does the passenger window operate from the driver window control switch? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C12
    2. No  : GO to C2.
  2. C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 334 (RD/YE) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Passenger Window Motor C608.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window motor C608-2, circuit 334 (RD/YE) and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C6.
    2. No  : GO to C3.
  3. C3 CHECK CIRCUIT 313 (WH/YE) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Passenger Window Control Switch C604.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window control switch C604-4, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C5.
    2. No  : GO to C4.
  4. C4 CHECK CIRCUIT 313 (WH/YE) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between driver window control switch C504-3, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side and passenger window control switch C604-4, circuit 313 (WH/YE), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C13.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  5. C5 CHECK CIRCUIT 333 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window control switch C604-1, circuit 333 (YE/RD), harness side and passenger window motor C608-1, circuit 333 (YE/RD), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new passenger window switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  6. C6 CHECK CIRCUIT 333 (YE/RD) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window motor C608-1, circuit 333 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to C7.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  7. C7 CHECK CIRCUIT 334 (RD/YE) FOR GROUND 
    • Connect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window motor C608-1, circuit 334 (RD/YE), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C11.
    2. No  : GO to C8.
  8. C8 CHECK CIRCUIT 314 (TN/LB) FOR GROUND 
    • Disconnect: Passenger Window Control Switch C604.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window control switch C604-2, circuit 314 (TN/LB), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C10.
    2. No  : GO to C9.
  9. C9 CHECK CIRCUIT 314 (TN/LB) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between driver window control switch C504-6, circuit 314 (TN/LB), and passenger window switch C604-2, circuit 314 (TN/LB).

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  C13.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  10. C10 CHECK CIRCUIT 333 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window control switch C604-1, circuit 333 (YE/RD), harness side and passenger window motor C608-1, circuit 333 (YE/RD), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new passenger window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  11. C11 CHECK CIRCUIT 334 (RD/YE) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between passenger window motor C608-2, circuit 334 (RD/YE), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new passenger window motor. REFER to MOTOR AND WINDOW REGULATOR . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  12. C12 CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE PASSENGER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between passenger window control switch C604-3, circuit 400 (LB/BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new passenger window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : GO to  C14.
  13. C13 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between driver window control switch C504-5, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new driver window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit.
  14. C14 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE SWITCH - CIRCUIT 400 (LB/BK) 
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280c.
    • Measure the resistance between SJB C2280c-1, circuit 400 (LB/BK) and passenger window control switch C604-3, circuit 400 (LB/BK).

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the SJB self-test.
