Removal and Installation

    ALL VEHICLES 

    NOTE: The fan shroud and electric cooling fan are serviced as an assembly.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the air intake tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  3. Disconnect the electric cooling fan electrical connector.

  4. Remove the bolts and position the power steering reservoir out of the way.

  5. VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 

  6. Disconnect the transmission cooling tube from the radiator.

  7. ALL VEHICLES 

  8. Remove the right side cooling fan shroud mounting bolt and lift the shroud and electric cooling fan assembly from the vehicle.

  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
