Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in neutral, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Remove the exhaust pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts.

Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube.
- Disconnect the differential pressure feedback EGR system from the EGR tube.
- Disconnect the EGR tube from the EGR valve and the exhaust manifold.

Remove the retainers and the LH exhaust manifold.

NOTE: Use new exhaust manifold gaskets and retaining nuts.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
