Pinpoint Test D: No Power In Start

- D1 CHECK THE STARTER OPERATION
- Key in START position.
- Does the starter motor engage?
- Yes : GO to D2.
- No : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to IGNITION SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
- D2 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250.
- Measure the voltage between the ignition switch C250 pin B4, circuit 37 (YE), harness side and ground; and between ignition switch C250 pin B5, circuit 37 (YE), harness side and ground.
- Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to D3.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- D3 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Carry out the ignition switch component test

- Does the ignition switch test OK ?
- Yes : REPAIR circuit 32 (RD/LB) or circuit 1050 (LG/VT). TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to IGNITION SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
