Front Door Handle: Material

Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM - LS .

NOTE: When a new lock cylinder is installed, the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder and ignition lock cylinder should be installed as a set. This will eliminate carrying an extra key which will fit only one lock. If a new key is to be used, the new key code number is stamped on a metal tag attached to the key.

NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.

To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.

Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
