Pinpoint Test H: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - LH Front

H1 CHECK THE POWER TO THE WINDOW MOTOR
NOTE: The LH front window motor is not on the multiplex link.

NOTE: A new LH front window motor will be in the proportional up/down mode until initialized. Refer to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION .

NOTE: The LH front window motor must be initialized whenever: the motor is removed from the window regulator, a new window motor is installed, a new window regulator is installed, a new window glass is installed, a new top run is installed and any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the window system.
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Motor C524.
- Measure the voltage between the LH front window motor C524-7, circuit 30-AJ80 (RD), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
1. Yes : GO to H2.
2. No : REPAIR the circuit. INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
H2 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW MOTOR DELAYED ACCESSORY POWER
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the LH front window motor C524-2, circuit 10-AJ43B (GY/VT), harness side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
1. Yes : GO to H3.
2. No : REPAIR the circuit. INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
H3 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW MOTOR GROUND
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between the LH front window motor C524-8, circuit 31-AJ80 (BK), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
1. Yes : GO to H4.
2. No : REPAIR the circuit. INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
H4 CHECK CIRCUITS 7S-AJ41 (YE/BK), 8-AJ42 (WH/GN) AND 7S-AJ40 (YE/GN) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a, C504b.
- Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504a-5, circuit 7S-AJ40 (YE/GN), harness side and the LH front window motor C524-4, circuit 7S-AJ40 (YE/GN), harness side; and between LH front window control switch C504a-11, 8-AJ42 (WH/GN), harness side and the LH front window motor C524-1, circuit 8-AJ42 (WH/GN), harness side; and between the LH front window control switch C504b-5, circuit 7S-AJ41 (YE/BK), harness side and the LH front window motor C524-3, circuit 7S-AJ41 (YE/BK), harness side.

- Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
1. Yes : GO to H5.
2. No : REPAIR the circuit(s) as necessary. INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
H5 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
- Carry out the window control switch component test.
  Refer to COMPONENT TESTING .
- Did the LH front window control switch pass the component test?
1. Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW GLASS - FRONT . INITIALIZE the LH front window motor. REFER to DOOR WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
2. No : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
