Pinpoint Test G: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

  1. G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504b.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the LH front window control switch C504b-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  G3.
    2. No  : GO to G2.
  2. G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: DDM C501d.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504b-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and the DDM C501d-12, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : GO to  G4.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AJ7 (BK/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504a-8, circuit 31-AJ7 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. G4 CHECK FOR CORRECT DDM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect all DDM connectors.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect all DDM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify if the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS for the removal and installation procedure. REPEAT the self-test.
    2. No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
