Pinpoint Test G: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

- G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504b.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the LH front window control switch C504b-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to G3.
- No : GO to G2.
- G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: DDM C501d.
- Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504b-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and the DDM C501d-12, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to G4.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AJ7 (BK/BU) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a.
- Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504a-8, circuit 31-AJ7 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- G4 CHECK FOR CORRECT DDM OPERATION
- Disconnect all DDM connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all DDM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify if the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS for the removal and installation procedure. REPEAT the self-test.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
