Pinpoint Test B: DTC B2358: Adjustable Pedal Switch Failure

  1. B1 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH RWD 
    • Disconnect: Adjustable Pedal Switch C2089.
    • Push the adjustable pedal switch DOWN and measure the resistance between pin 3 and pin 4 component side.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
      1. Yes  : GO to B2.
      2. No  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. B2 CHECK THE ADJUSTABLE PEDAL SWITCH FWD 
    • Push the adjustable pedal switch UP and measure the resistance between pin 7 and pin 4 component side.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
      1. Yes  : GO to B3.
      2. No  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. B3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AL19a (BK/GN) 
    • Measure the resistance between C2089-4, circuit 31 -AL19a (BK/GN) and chassis ground.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
      1. Yes  : INSTALL a new adjustable pedal switch. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
      2. No  : REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
