Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING & BLEEDING - 2.3L .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sender unit.

  5. NOTE: Coat the threads with pipe thread sealant.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
