Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

To clear PCM related "P" DTCs, see SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - EEC-V - GASOLINE & NGV article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. To clear EATC module related "B" and "U" DTCs, press DEFROST button. Vacuum fluorescent display window will show 888 and all function symbols for one second. Then, EATC control assembly will turn OFF (display blank) and all EATC related codes will be cleared. Intermittent DTCs will be deleted after 80 ignition switch ON cycles after intermittent condition occurs.
