Removal and Installation

Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
Remove the coolant pump belt tensioner, if equipped. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
Disconnect the three hoses.

Remove the bolts and the coolant pump assembly.

Separate the coolant pump from the coolant pump housing.

NOTE: Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
