Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
  3. Remove the coolant pump belt tensioner, if equipped. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
  4. Disconnect the three hoses.

  5. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump assembly.

  6. Separate the coolant pump from the coolant pump housing.

  7. NOTE: Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
