Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the engine coolant. For additional information refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. Remove the oil pan drain bolt and drain the engine oil.

  3. Remove and discard the oil filter.

  4. Disconnect the coolant hoses at the cooler.

  5. Remove and discard the oil cooler.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new oil cooler.
    • Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil.
