High-Pressure Fuel Lines - Extension: Installation

    NOTE: Lubricate the fuel line O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation.
  1. Install new fuel line O-ring seals.
  2. Position the extension high-pressure fuel line in the vehicle.
  3. Secure the extension high-pressure fuel line in the retaining clips.
  4. NOTE: When tightening the fuel line, a torque wrench adapter must be used with the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used.   5. Connect the mid high-pressure fuel line to the extension high-pressure fuel line.
  6. NOTE: When tightening the fuel line, a torque wrench adapter must be used with the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used.   7. Connect the extension high-pressure fuel line to the rear high-pressure fuel line.
  8. Pressurize the fuel system and perform the fuel system leak test. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION-NATURAL GAS .
