Removal and Installation

- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the differential pressure feedback exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and the wiring harness pin-type retainer.
- Remove the system vacuum hoses from the EGR tube.
- Remove the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.
- Disconnect the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Disconnect the exhaust Y-pipe from the RH exhaust manifold.
- Remove the RH exhaust manifold and the RH exhaust manifold gasket.
- Remove the stud bolts.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the RH exhaust manifold.
- Remove and discard the RH exhaust manifold gasket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the exhaust manifold retainers in the sequence shown.
NOTE:
Use a new exhaust manifold gasket.
