Removal and Installation

    6.8L ENGINE 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.

    2. 7.3L ENGINE 

  2. Remove the power steering pump. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP - E550 .
  3. Place the pump and pulley in a soft-jawed vise then, using the special tool, remove the pulley.

    4. 6.8L ENGINE 

  4. Using the special tool, remove the pulley.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Use the special tool to install the pulley.
