Diagnostic Aids

Perform this test when instructed during QUICK TEST or if directed by other test procedures. This test is used to diagnose the following:
- Throttle Body Assembly
- Speed Control Cable
- Accelerator Linkage To Throttle Body
- Air Cleaner Assembly (Including Element)
- Air Inlet Tube
- Clean Air Tube & Resonator
- Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Assembly
- IMRC Actuator Assembly
- Intake Manifold Swirl Control (IMSC) Actuator Assembly
- Wiring Harness Circuits (IMRC Or IMSC, IMRC Or IMSC MONITOR, SIG RTN, PWR GND, VREF & VPWR)
- Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
NOTE:
Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC), Intake Manifold Swirl Control (IMSC) and Swirl Control Valve Monitor (SCVM) will be referred to as IMRC, IMSC or SCVM throughout diagnostic procedures. See Fig 1-Fig 5
