General Activating Procedure (With Side Curtain & Side Airbags, Seats Removed)

  1. Ensure negative battery cable is disconnected. Remove air bag simulators from right and left seat belt pretensioner connectors and reconnect connectors.
  2. On models equipped with side curtain and side air bags, remove air bag simulators from right and left side air bag module connectors and reconnect connectors. Remove air bag simulators from right and left side curtain air bag module connectors, reconnect connectors and reinstall removed components. Tighten seat belt guide bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. On all models, remove air bag simulator from passenger-side air bag module connector, reconnect connector and close glove box. Remove air bag simulator from driver-side air bag module, reconnect connector and close access door.
  4. Connect negative battery cable. With all air bag simulators removed, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  . Perform computer relearn procedure. See COMPUTER RELEARN  . Reprogram pre-set radio frequencies and set clock.
