Test M: Side Air Bag Fault (DTC B2295): Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Monterey and 2004 Ford Freestar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Restraints Control Module (RCM) checks all side air bag circuits for faults. If RCM detects low resistance, open circuit, short to battery or short to ground, it will store DTC B2295 in memory. AIR BAG warning light will also flash Light Flash Code (LFC). Refer to table for corresponding LFC and associated fault. See SIDE AIR BAG MODULE LIGHT FLASH CODES (LFCS) table.
