Test E: Pad Warning Light Circuit Short To Battery (DTC B1890): Description

When ignition switch is in the ON position, Passenger-side Deactivation (PAD) indicator prove-out is initiated by Restraints Control Module (RCM). RCM briefly activates PAD indicator to verify to the occupants correct functional operation of the PAD indicator. If RCM detects an open or short to ground in PAD switch warning light circuit, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1890 in memory and flash Code 10-14 on AIR BAG warning light.
