Rear Side Crash Sensor: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove appropriate rear door scuff plate. Remove rear seat belt anchor from rear quarter trim. Pull out on front of rear quarter trim panel, releasing retaining clips, and allowing access to rear side crash sensor. Disconnect rear side crash sensor electrical connector. See Figure . Remove rear side crash sensor mounting bolts and crash sensor.
