Rear Side Crash Sensor: Installation

  1. Ensure crash sensor locator tabs are aligned with openings in C-pillar sheet metal. Tighten front side crash sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect negative battery cable. With air bag simulators installed at all deployable air bag system devices, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Ensure rear seat belt webbing is not twisted. Tighten rear seat belt anchor bolt to specification. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
