Wheel Bearing, Hub, Knuckle, Upper Arm and Lower Arm - Front: Notes

MATERIAL

Item Specification
High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant XL-2 ESE-M12A4-A
NOTE: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the stud from turning while removing the nut from ball joints and stabilizer bar links.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.
  2. If removing an upper arm, remove the shock absorber and spring assembly. For additional information, refer to SHOCK ABSORBER AND SPRING ASSEMBLY - FRONT .
    TO REMOVE INDIVIDUAL SUSPENSION COMPONENTS, ONLY CARRY OUT THE LISTED STEPS

    Component Steps
    Wheel bearing and hub assembly 1-7
    Wheel knuckle 1-11
    Upper arm 9, 12-14
    Lower Arm 15-22
  3. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustrations and tables.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
