NOTE:
The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition is ON.
NOTE:
The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and wait one minute.
- Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL & CONSOLE article.
- Release the 2 retainers and remove the PAD indicator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
The ignition must be in the OFF position for at least one minute if disconnecting the Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) indicator electrical connector. Otherwise, a DTC will be set in the RCM memory and must be cleared before releasing the vehicle.
