Oil Pan: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the front crossmember. For additional information, refer to FULL FRAME AND BODY MOUNTING article.
- Remove the bolt and the nut. Position the transmission cooler tubes aside.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Install the drain plug when finished.
- Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Detach the 2 pin-type wire harness retainers from the oil pan.
- Remove the oil pan bolts in the sequence shown in illustration.
- Remove the oil pan and the gasket.
