Normal Operation

The Parking Aid Module (PAM) receives a ground signal from the active park assist switch, enabling the system. A fault condition occurs when the PAM detects a short to ground on the active park assist switch signal circuit. The active park assist system does not activate and the message "ACTIVE PARK FAULT" in the Instrument Cluster (IC) message center is displayed followed by an audible chime.
- DTC B1303:11 (Park Assist Switch: Circuit Short To Ground) - sets when the active park assist switch signal circuit is shorted to ground, the normally open switch is stuck closed or the switch is pressed and held for more than 10 seconds.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Active park assist switch
- PAM
