Removal and Installation

- Remove the steering column opening cover. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL -- EXPLODED VIEW .
- Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
- Using a suitable tool such as a dentist pick, release the 2 tabs and remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Replacement of the PATS
transceiver does not require the PATS
keys to be programmed into the Instrument Cluster (IC) again.
