Removal and Installation

Open the rear door scuff plate trim panel access cover and remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel pin-type retainer.
Remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel.
Remove the liftgate scuff plate.

Position the liftgate opening weatherstrip aside.
If equipped, remove the cargo net hold-down.

NOTE: Insert a non-marring tool between the D-pillar trim panel and rear quarter trim panel to release the trim panel.

Remove the rear quarter trim panel.

NOTE: To avoid damage to the quarter trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the quarter trim panel before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
