    NOTE: If the oil life is not displayed in the SETUP menu, carry out the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) using As-Built data. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  • Using the system check in the message center, VERIFY that the oil life is between 0 and 10% for the OIL CHANGE SOON message or at 0% for the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message.
    • If the oil life is between 0-10%, INSTALL a new IPC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • If the oil life is not at the specified value, the message center is operating correctly. INFORM the customer how the message center functions and how the oil life messages are set.
  • The OIL CHANGE SOON or OIL CHANGE REQUIRED, XXX% message is always on
  • Odometer
  • IPC 
  • The CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM, PARK BRAKE ENGAGED or LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL warning is inoperative/always on
  • Brake warning indication concern
  • The SERVICE ADVANCETRAC warning is inoperative/always on
  • Traction control indication concern
  • Go To PINPOINT TEST V  (traction control) to diagnose the traction control indicator.
  • The TRAIN RIGHT FRONT, LEFT FRONT, RIGHT REAR, or LEFT REAR message is inoperative/always on
  • TPMS  warning indication concern
  • TPMS  sensor training
    NOTE: These messages only appear during the TPMS  sensor training procedure. REFER to WHEELS & TIRES .
  • VERIFY that the TPMS  warning indicator functions.
    • If the TPMS  warning indicator does not operate, Go To PINPOINT TEST AC .
    • If the TPMS  warning indicator operates, CARRY OUT the TPMS  sensor training. REFER to WHEELS & TIRES .
  • The TIRES NOT TRAINED - REPEAT message is always on
  • TPMS  sensor training
  • The TRAINING COMPLETE message is inoperative
  • TPMS  sensor training incomplete
  • The TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT, LOW TIRE PRESSURE or TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR FAULT warning is inoperative/always on
  • TPMS  warning indication concern
  • TPMS  concern
  • VERIFY that the TPMS  warning indicator operates.
  • The BLIND SPOT SYSTEM FAULT, BLIND SPOT NOT AVAILABLE, CROSS TRAFFIC SYSTEM FAULT, CROSS TRAFFIC NOT AVAILABLE, SENSOR BLOCKED SEE MANUAL, VEHICLE COMING FROM LEFT or VEHICLE COMING FROM RIGHT warning is inoperative/always on
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) concern
  • Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) system concern
  • OPEN the driver door with the ignition in the RUN position and VERIFY that the message center operates.
    • If the message center does not operate correctly, Go To PINPOINT TEST AU .
    • If the message center operates correctly, REFER to SIDE AND REAR VISION to diagnose the blind spot monitoring system.
  • The REMOVE OBJECTS NEAR PASS SEAT warning is always on
  • Objects near the passenger seat or seat track
  • Occupant classification system concern
  • REMOVE any objects near the passenger seat or seat track. If the REMOVE OBJECTS NEAR PASS SEAT warning is still present, REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM to diagnose the occupant classification system.
  • The CHECK AWD  message is always on
  • All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system concern

  • The turn signal on warning chime is inoperative
  • Odometer operation

  • The safety belt warning chime does not operate correctly

  • RETRIEVE the recorded DTCs from the IPC  self-test.
    • If the IPC  DTC P1534:01 is not present, the system is operating correctly. The air bag secondary warning chime sounds only when a fault in the air bag warning indicator is present and DTC P1534:01 is recorded.
    • If the IPC  DTC P1534:01 is present, INSTALL a new IPC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The message center warning chime is inoperative
  • IPC 
  • VERIFY that there are warning messages displayed and confirm, as new warning messages appear, that the warning chime sounds.
    • If messages do not exist, the system is operating correctly at this time. The message center warning chime only sounds when the message center detects new warning messages.
    • If warning messages exist and the chime does not sound, INSTALL a new IPC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The service Roll Stability Control (RSC®) warning chime is inoperative
  • Traction control indication
  • IPC 
  • VERIFY that the SERVICE ADVANCETRAC message is displayed in the message center and the traction control indicator operates correctly.
    • If the SERVICE ADVANCETRAC message is not displayed in the message center and the traction control indicator is not illuminated, the system is operating correctly.
    • If the SERVICE ADVANCETRAC message is displayed and the traction control indicator is illuminated, INSTALL a new IPC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The perimeter alarm warning chime is inoperative
  • Perimeter alarm concern

  • VERIFY the perimeter alarm functions correctly.
  • The door ajar warning chime is inoperative
