Transmission Support Crossmember: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Install a suitable high-lift transmission jack.
  3. Remove the 2 wire harness retainers from the transmission support crossmember and position the wire harness aside.

  5. Remove the heat shield screws.

  7. Remove the LH transmission crossmember nuts.

  9. Remove the LH transmission crossmember frame bolts.

  11. Remove the RH transmission crossmember nuts.

  13. Remove the RH transmission crossmember frame bolts.

  15. Remove the transmission insulator nuts and the transmission crossmember.
