Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

The remote keyless entry (RKE) system has 2 main components:

The RKE transmitter initiates the following electronic system functions:

The RKE transmitter has a maximum operating range of 10 m (33 ft).

Up to 6 RKE transmitters can be programmed.

The RKE transmitters can be programmed using a scan tool or by using the remote keyless entry transmitter programming procedure. For additional information, refer to Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming .
