Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the steering column opening cover. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE article.
  2. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
  3. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    4. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the instrument cluster (IC) again.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
