Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Using Radio Removing Tool (415-001/T87P-19061-A), pull out audio unit from instrument panel. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove audio unit.
  2. Remove 2 screws and pull out center instrument panel finish panel assembly and disconnect electrical connectors. Remove screw, disconnect 4 electrical connectors and remove GEM from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
