Removal And Installation

All vehicles
- With vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the front impact severity sensor. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM article.
- Remove the 2 pushpin retainers from the front bumper bracket.
- Remove the 2 front grille bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Disconnect the transmission cooler hose.
- Disconnect the coolant recovery hose from the radiator and position it aside.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 radiator brackets.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the center support lower bolt.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the nut and the center support.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors.
- Remove the 2 cooling fan bolts and the cooling fan motor and shroud.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .
3.0L vehicles only
2.3L vehicles only
All vehicles
