System Warnings

System warnings alert the driver to possible problems or malfunctions in the vehicle's operating system. In the event of a multiple warning situation, the message center cycles the display to show all warnings by displaying each one for 4 seconds. The warning messages that have been reset are divided into 3 categories:
- Messages that do not disappear until the condition is changed.
- Messages that appear on the display 10 minutes from the reset.
- Messages that return after the ignition switch is cycled from the OFF position to the ON position.
The warning messages that do not disappear until the condition is changed are:
- REDUCED ENGINE POWER
- STOP ENGINE SAFELY
The messages that appear on the display for 10 minutes from reset are:
- LOW FUEL LEVEL
- CHECK GAUGES (base)
- CHECK TRAILER (base)
- LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
- LOW OIL PRESSURE
- CHECK ENGINE TEMPERATURE
- TRAILER DISCONNECTED
- WATER IN FUEL (diesel only)
- CHECK AIR FILTER (diesel only)
The messages that return after the ignition switch has been cycled from the OFF position to the ON position are:
- DOOR AJAR
- CHECK FUEL CAP
- ENGINE FAILSAFE MODE (optional)
- CHECK COMPASS MODULE (optional)
- TRAILER FAULT
- TBC FAULT
These messages display when an improper operation of the vehicle network communication between the electronic modules occurs:
- Odometer
- Fuel flow
- Fuel level
- Trans temp
- Fuel cap
- Engine sensor
- Brake fluid
- Autolock
- Autolamp delay
