Valve Body, Accumulator Body & Solenoid Body (4R100): Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 13 other vehicles, including the 2003 Lincoln Navigator, 2003 Lincoln Blackwood, 2003 Ford RV Cutaway, 2003 Ford Pickup, and 2003 Ford F550 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If the transmission has been disassembled to replace worn or damaged parts, and the valves in the main control valve body stick repeatedly from foreign material, the torque converter must be removed and cleaned by using a suitable torque converter/fluid cooler cleaner.
NOTE: If valve body is disassembled, place individual parts in correct order and relation to valve body for reassembly reference. Tag all springs as they are removed.
