Brake Switch Circuit Failure

The brake pedal switch is hard wired to the powertrain control module (PCM) supplying battery voltage when the brake pedal is applied. The PCM communicates with the ABS module via the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) for the brake pedal switch position.
