Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the scuff plate.

    NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
  3. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    • Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
    • Use the Seat Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt.
      • To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).
    • Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.

  5. Pull the rear door opening weatherstrips away from the C-pillar trim panel.

  7. If equipped, remove the utility trays and jack assembly.

  9. Remove the safety belt anchor.
    1. Use the Seat Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt.
      • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

    3. Remove the safety belt anchor.
  10. Remove the C-pillar trim panel.

  12. Route the safety belt and the shoulder safety belt guide through the C-pillar trim panel openings.
  13. Remove the C-pillar trim panel from the vehicle.
  14. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
